During the search for Korean and Viet Nam Veterans, a Torrington resident informed the city clerk that Charles Lee Bergevin was a casualty of the Viet Nam War. A search conducted by the Torrington Resident located Mr. Bergevin’s sister, and she contacted the City Clerk Joe Quartiero, who then listed his name with the Viet Nam Era Veteran’s. Attached is a list of veterans whose names will appear on the War Memorial of the newly renovated City Hall. If anyone notices any discrepancy in
spelling or an omission of anyone that should be listed, please contact the City Clerk’s Office at 860-489-2241.
There will be room for expansion of the War Memorial for future conflicts including the Irag and Afghanistan War.
