FUTURE EVENTS
Upon review and adoption of this Conceptual Master Plan for the Downtown Area by the City, the coordination and management of the following activities by the City and State are essential for completion of the planning and development process.
Submission of this Conceptual Master Plan to DECD for review
Finalization of the CEPA scope of work for DECD's consultant
Technical review of this Conceptual Master Plan by the CEPA consultants
Submission of the CEPA report to DECD and the City
Modification of the Conceptual Master Plan, if necessary
Review and adoption of the final Master Plan
Review of the Developer's Project Proposal
Application to DECD for planning funds
Development and adoption of a Municipal Development Plan (MDP)
Application to DECD for development funds
Appropriation of City funds for public improvements
Zoning and site plan approval(s) for development components
Start of development activities
The short and long term economic growth and success of Torrington's Downtown Area is dependant, however, upon critical public/private partnerships and efforts being initiated and nurtured during the next coming months.
