FIRE HEADQUARTERS
111 Water Street
The Torrington Fire Department is headquartered at 111 Water Street. Offices for Administration, Operations, Training, and Fire Marshal are located in this building.
Housed here are one front-line engine, one reserve engine, one ladder, one rescue vehicle,one Utility Vehicle, two rescue boats and a fire prevention trailer. Approximately 7-9 fire fighters are on duty at this station during every shift.
NORTH END STATION
899 Main Street
The North End Station is a substation located at 899 Main Street. There are a minimum of 4 fire fighters on duty at this station during every shift. Housed here are one front-line engine, one reserve engine.
VOLUNTEER DEPARTMENTS
There are also three volunteer departments that assist the career department in covering the entire city area. These departments are located in Torringford, Burrville, and Drakeville. There are approximately 50 volunteer fire fighters at these three locations and they assist at approximately 25% of the incidents
