Crime Watch Neighborhood Program
This program was developed as a spirit of cooperation between the citizens of Torrington and the Torrington Police Department. It was developed to assist police in establishing safe neighborhoods by preventing crime and reporting suspicious acts to police.
This program can be referred to as the "eyes and ears" of the police department. The departments supplies the crime watch neighborhoods with information on crime trends within the city to Block Watch Captains. When neighborhoods report suspicious activity, they are able to remain anonymous.
