Q.   Where can I go to get information on Torrington properties?
A. The  Assessor's Office is open M-W 9:00am-4:30pm, TH 9:00am-6:30pm, and F 9:00am-12:30pm thru 6/30/07. Starting 7/1/07 the hours will be:  M-W 8:30am-4:00pm, TH 8:30am-6:30pm, and F 8:30am-12:30pm.  The Asssessors Office is located on the second floor in City Hall.  The public may acess computerized field cards with property info.  For more information click link Torrington properties or contact Donna Patchen, Assessor, at phone 860-489-2222 or email donna_patchen@torringtonct.org

Q.  When are Torrington’s tax deadlines?
A.  Personal Property Declarations are mailed in early October. Each business must fill out and return their declaration to the Assessor's Office by November 1st annually.
Elderly and Totally Disabled Homeowners Program filing period is February 1st to May 15th annually.
Veterans who are already receiving the base veteran's exemption for serving during recognized periods of combat may be entitled to the Additional Veterans exemption. The filing period is February 1st to October 1st annually. Those already on the program need to apply biennially.
